Cancellation Policy for Reel Country Guide Service

Deposit and Payment

• ​A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required at the time of booking to secure your date.

• ​Deposits can be made via Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, or Credit Card (processed through Square Pay).

• ​The remaining balance is due on the day of your Charter trip.

Cancellation by Client

• ​Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the scheduled trip date: You have two options:

  • ​Receive a refund for your $100 deposit.

  • ​Transfer the $100 deposit to a new booking, which must occur within 12 calendar months of the original trip date.

• ​Cancellations made between 24 hours and 7 days prior (within 6 days, but outside 24 hours) of the scheduled trip date: The $100 deposit is non-refundable but may be applied to a rescheduled booking that occurs within 12 calendar months of the original trip date. You will not be charged the remaining balance.

• ​Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled trip date, or No-Shows: The client will be charged the full trip price to the card on file.

• ​Exceptions: This charge may be waived at the Captain's sole discretion for verifiable situations including documented sickness, immediate death in the family, or inclement weather preventing travel (not including local fishing weather, which is covered under the Captain's cancellation policy).

• ​Repeat Cancellations: If a client cancels a trip two times or more, their next booking will require a non-refundable payment of 50% of the total trip cost at the time of booking to secure the date. This 50% charge replaces the standard $100 deposit.

Cancellation by Reel Country Guide Service (Weather/Safety)

• ​The Captain reserves the right to cancel any trip due to unsafe weather conditions (including but not limited to high winds, severe seas, or lightning), mechanical failure, or other circumstances beyond our control.

• ​Trips will generally not be canceled due to rain alone, as the boat is equipped with an enclosed cabin for client comfort and shelter. The Captain will make the final decision on safety.

• ​If we cancel the trip, you will have the option to receive a full refund or reschedule for a future date. Customer safety is our top priority.
